Introduction

The Instant Domain Search Model Context Protocol server provides AI assistants with direct access to real-time domain availability, pricing, and aftermarket data through our sub-10ms API.

Available for Claude (Web & Desktop), ChatGPT (CustomGPT), and Cursor, the MCP eliminates the back-and-forth between AI suggestions and manual domain checking. Your AI can now check domain availability instantly while generating ideas, keeping your entire workflow in one place.

How It Works

The MCP connects directly to our domain availability infrastructure—the same system that powers instantdomainsearch.com. We query authoritative registries (Verisign, PIR, and others) directly, bypassing retail registrars to deliver accurate, real-time results.

Available Tools

The MCP exposes three core tools to AI assistants:

  1. search_domains
    Bulk availability checking across multiple TLDs. Takes a name fragment and returns comprehensive availability data across your chosen extensions.

  2. generate_domain_variations
    Intelligent alternative generation when your first choice is unavailable. Creates pronounceable variations using prefixes, suffixes, and semantic modifications, not random letter combinations.

  3. check_domain_availability
    Definitive yes/no availability verification for any list of domains. Accepts arrays, CSVs, or individual domain queries with authoritative registry validation.

Technical Implementation

The MCP server endpoint is:

The server uses Streamable HTTP transport and requires no authentication. All three tools are exposed through this single endpoint, allowing seamless transitions between searching, generating variations, and verifying availability.
